When observing with the GEMINI telescopes, two astronomers from Brazil and the United States discovered for the first time asteroids that are similar to “ordinary chondrites”, the most common meteorites found on Earth. Until now, astronomers have failed to identify their asteroidal sources because of the various geologic processes that occur after the meteorites are ejected from their asteroidal parent body.

Aber Herb ich versteh das nicht ganz?
Der erste Asteroid oder Mutterkörper der gewöhnlichen Chondriten? Ich dacht, die hätten doch schon längst damals beim Eros und hernach beim Itokawa gemessen, daß Chondrit?
Oder meinen die, die ersten NEOs oder Erdbahnkreuzer?

Und was ist das mit den 100Mio-1Mrd Jahren? In den schlauen Büchern liest man bei den gewöhnlichen Chonriten immer kosmische Alter, also die Zeit, wose aus dem Mutterkörper rausgewackt bis dasse auf die Erde gefallen sind, von ein paar Dutzend Millionen Jahren?

Weißt da mehr?
